NASHVILLE, TN -- (November 6, 2008) - Vern Gosdin announces the release of his long awaited 101 song box set; “40 Years of the Voice”.
Vern Gosdin a.k.a. The Voice of Country Music gives back to country....your country, through a non-profit storm relief program by donating proceeds from his Box Set "40 Years of The Voice".

This decorated songwriter (23 singles, twelve Top 10's and three #1 hits) has written some of country music's biggest hits including “Chiseled in Stone”, “Set 'em up Joe”, “Wright in the Wrong Direction”, “That Just about Does It”, as well as George Straight's #1 hit “Today My World Slipped Away”. Vern will be contributing a portion of his boxset sales to a new storm relief project called "Voice for Relief''. The new non-profit organization has named Vern Gosdin as the spokesperson for the cause. Voice For Relief is a non-profit emergency relief organization aimed at assisting families, communities and businesses to recover from the catastrophic storms that effect our country each year. The project will also work with established relief organizations.
The new Box Set "40 Years of The Voice" is strategic in reaching one of the organization's main objective; a star spangled annual benefit concert set to start August 2009.
